Welcome to GameVault. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our video game library and tracking platform.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect the information necessary to provide you with the GameVault service:

• Account Information: When you register using Supabase Authentication, we securely store your email address and an optional display name. For OAuth (Google, Discord), we receive basic profile information.
• Linked Accounts: If you connect your Steam or Xbox accounts, we use the Steam Web API and OpenXBL API to fetch your public gaming history, achievements, and playtime. We do not store your external passwords.
• Device & Usage Data: We may cache certain data locally on your device (using Hive) to improve app performance and offline capabilities. Camera permissions are only requested locally to scan QR codes for adding friends.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, personalize, and maintain your GameVault library experience.
• To synchronize your game progress across multiple platforms.
• To enable social features, such as sharing your profile via QR code or finding friends.

3. Third-Party Services

GameVault utilizes several third-party services to function. By using our app, you also acknowledge the privacy policies of these providers:

• Supabase: For secure database hosting, user authentication, and avatar storage.
• RAWG & IGDB APIs: To fetch rich game metadata and artwork.
• Steam & Xbox APIs: To synchronize your libraries.

4. Data Security

Your data is securely stored using Supabase's PostgreSQL database with industry-standard encryption protocols. All API requests are routed securely.

5. Your Rights

You have full control over your data. You can delete your account, wipe your library, or unlink third-party services at any time directly through the GameVault settings menu.
